Campanelli
Innovation Center
The 2nd largest center in the world that allows us
to deliver the latest to our customers.
Contributing to the evolution of livestock farming in the country has always been part of our purpose. We do this on a daily basis, by conducting research focused on production efficiency, animal welfare and sustainability.
To achieve this, we count on great partners, such as the Campanelli Innovation Center. Its experimental facilities are based on the large pen trials concept: pens with large numbers of animals that allow to reliably simulate real situations faced in commercial feedlots and increase the statistical precision of performance studies.
2 Experiments/year
3,616 animals/experiment
+20.0000 Tested animals
Multidisciplinary team
Meteorological station for crossing information
Partnerships with national and international universities
One of the experiments carried out at the center was shading in the confinement pens. The objective was to evaluate an innovative concept called Smart Shading, in which shading structures allow:
The innovation center also has a laboratory for chemical-bromatological analyzes of all inputs and diets used in the experiments. The structure has a careful sample processing system, from separation to issuance of the result, duly identified, prepared and analyzed. Routine determinations of the concentrations of dry matter, minerals, protein, ether extract, dietary starch, fecal starch, particle size assessments (Penn State Separator), presence of micro toxins and fermentative profile of preserved materials are routine.
The information generated by the research allows our clients (partner companies, consultants and livestock farmers) to have first-hand access to the results, helping to make decisions in each sector. Consequently, we work actively in the dissemination and development of new validated technologies so that they can be subsequently adopted.
